Electronic Learning

We are developing our capacity to deliver e-learning within our community education programmes through the use of information and learning technology equipment.  The purchase of ICT equipment has been made possible through project funding. For example, we have secured a range of equipment through the Capital Motivating e-Learning (CaMEL 1 & 2) programme managed by the National Institute of Adult and Continuing Education (NIACE).

The equipment is being used in selected curriculum areas to enhance the learning experience for students.  For example, tutors within Humanities courses will diversify teaching and learning methods and develop electronic ways of Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).  Also ESOL tutors are delivering technology assisted learning by using digital projectors, electronic whiteboards and digital video recorders for the benefit of learner groups.
