DUDLEY
The area
The WEA in Dudley stretches from Coseley and Sedgley in the north to Halesowen in the south and includes many of the distinct areas and villages that make up the Dudley borough, including Dudley, Wall Heath, Kingswinford, Wordsley, Norton, Wollaston and Brierley Hill.
The team
The Dudley team is led by Programme Area manager Lucy Wilkins and classes are delivered by a dynamic and enthusiastic team of part-time tutors who combine their subject knowledge with a passion for delivering high quality adult education.
The programme
The programme has developed over several years and now offers a diverse range of opportunities for learners of all ages and abilities. We have a particularly strong range of courses aimed largely (but not exclusively) at retired or semi-retired people - including active retirement, painting and drawing, local history, patchwork, yoga, woodland walks and keep fit. To download the brochure for 2007/08, please click here . The programme is constantly evolving, so please contact the Dudley office to be kept up to date with new opportunities (click the 'Dudley' category on our contact form ).
In addition, we have ongoing partnerships with several organisations in the borough including Hill House LMHU, Dudley Mind, Tividale Hall School, Dudley MB Deaf Support Services and The Queens Cross Centre offering courses such as lip reading, aromatherapy, IT, tai chi and keep fit. You may need a referral to access these classes though; please contact the Dudley office for info (click the 'Dudley' category on our contact form.
