The area

The WEA works across Coventry and Warwickshire with the majority of its programme taking place at the Study Centre in Coventry. We also run courses in North Warwickshire and Kenilworth.

The Team

Coventry Study Centre

The Study Centre is based in Foleshill – an area of Coventry containing a diverse ethnic population. Consequently ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are very popular; we cater for learners from Pre-Entry level to Entry Level 3. We have an IT suite where we teach basic computing skills and run a Women’s Yoga class. Other Basic Skills courses are offered during the year.

You will find us on Foleshill Road next to St Paul’s Church Rooms, opposite NP Aerospace.

The Programme Elsewhere

Elsewhere in the area we offer a variety of courses in Family Learning, Literacy, ESOL and English Literature, run in community venues. The Kenilworth Branch offer an English Literature class held at Kenilworth Library and we have a thriving Literature group meeting in Coventry.

Our Partners

Our partners represent a wide variety of agencies working in the area, offering a range of practical and personal support. We have good links with primary schools and Early Years Centres across the county. We have strong working relationships with projects and agencies supporting the ethnic communities in Coventry.
