What do we do?
We provide about 200 courses every year across the city, taking education to where people live and work and to places where they feel comfortable learning.
We offer “Skills for Life” courses in literacy and numeracy, courses aimed at parents and parenting, a range of ICT, health related and women’s learning courses etc. We also offer lip-reading, sewing and family history.
We organise our programme in partnership with local community organisations. We run courses in local venues such as community centres, schools, Children’s Centres and Surestart centres. We are in effect a “college without walls”.
Build on students’ experiences and interests.
